An exhibition telling the Story of the trans and gender diverse charity GIRES
In this exhibition we invite you to discover extracts from the materials collected, in the form of audio and video testimonials, photographic records, archival documents and ephemera, as well as community curator responses. These showcase personal journeys and historical milestones of a UK national charity that has been instrumental has been instrumental in several positive changes to trans rights in the UK and beyond. The original materials are deposited at Bishopsgate Institute, London, as a historical and contemporary resource preserving this rich history for future generations.
